We are a preservation-focused registry working to create and maintain a database of quality, documented animals of red wattle/waddle type and breeding, in order to promote the breed, increase their numbers, and preserve them for future generations.
This is all about the pigs, red wattle pigs. While we are a registry, we are not a club or an association. We don’t have dues or fees.
We are in love with the wonderful, native-Texan, red wattled hog and wish to help preserve them, in all their delicious, snoot-boop’n, red wattled glory.
That’s it.
That’s all we are.
We have no fees, no dues, and no bullshit. This is a labor of love, labor-intensive and expensive. This is me putting my money where my mouth is. We welcome donations, but it is not required.
We do have rules.
We welcome registered red wattle pigs, those that are descended from registered stock and those who meet our standards regardless of documentation.
What we offer is a place to register your pigs, document their heritage, their history, and their quality.
How it works: Complete the registration forms associated with this site. You may choose to make a donation or not. It’s appreciated, but not needed. Your information will be verified and evaluated by the registrar. The registrar will submit a decision to the RWPP business committee for consensus or dissent and discussion. We’ll reach out to you with any questions. If your stock is accepted, we’ll email a PDF RWPP registration certificate to the owner’s email on file.
As a note: We believe in “breeders helping breeders” and support other organizations supporting the breed. We strive to be our best, documenting hogs, filling gaps where we can, and attempting to recover lost hogs and their breeders, back to the fold so that the amazing red wattle not only continues but thrives and continues to grow in numbers.
