The Red Wattle hog has deep roots in Texas, developing as a hardy, self-sufficient, pasture-based hog perfectly adapted to the region. By maintaining clear documentation, supporting ethical breeding, and celebrating these red-wattled wonders, we hope to see this native Texan hog continue rooting, grazing, and snoot-boop’n for generations.

We welcome:

  • Registered Red Wattle pigs
  • Red Wattles descended from known registered stock
  • And Red Wattle-type hogs that meet our standards, regardless of previous documentation

If the pig is a true Red Wattle hog and meets the breed’s historical traits, we want to record it. What we offer is a place to register your pigs, document their heritage, their history, and their quality.

How Registration Works:

  1. Complete the registration forms on this site.
  2. You may choose to make a donation—appreciated but not required.
  3. Your information will be verified by the registrar.
  4. The registrar submits a decision to the RWPP business committee for consensus or discussion.
  5. We will contact you with any questions.
  6. Once accepted, we email a PDF RWPP registration certificate to the owner’s email on file.
